MASSIE CREEK - TARBOX: VMS #4371. On southwest side of Tarbox Cemetery 1.3 mi north of US42.  Massie Creek Cemetery was organized in 1814 and is located on Tarbox Cemetery Rd in Cedarville Township, Greene County, Ohio.  Until 1853 this cemetery was the site of the Reformed Presbyterian Church, at which time the brick church was torn down and rebuilt in Cedarville.  Rev. Hugh McMillan was the pastor from 1829 to 1860.  Although started as a Presbyterian Cemetery, it was later used by others.  Among the prominent Afro-Americans buried there, most of whom were connected with Wilberforce University, are Major Martin R. Delaney (1812-1885).  The first black officer to be commissioned in the Civil War, others: Hallie Q. Brown, elecutionist; Bishop Joshua H. Jones, Dr. Gilbert H. Jones, Rev. Samuel T. Mitchell, Rev. Horace Talbert, Dr. William S. Scarborough, Dr. Thomas H. Jackson, Benjamin F. Lee, George T. Simpson, Bruce H. Green, Bishop R. C. Ransom, and others.

ELLIS (FRIENDS): Located in Xenia Township on Route 68 North on east side of road, south of Clifton Road.

FORSMAN: Located on U. S. Route 42 northeast of Xenia, 3/4 mile southeast of Stevenson Road. Now within the city limits of Xenia.

HEATH: Located on Bell Road at U. S. Route 68 South in Xenia Township.

THE ASSOCIATE REFORM/GOWDY CEMETERY: Located on East Third Street, Xenia, Ohio

MAXEY: Located in Military Survey No. 2236 in Xenia Township on the farm of Dr. John Taylor off of Union Road.

HOUSE GRAVEYARD: Marker found on west side of Brush Row Road on land owned by Manuel Perez in 1975.

BELL CEMETERY:  Located in Xenia Twp., on Hook Rd about a mile north of intersection with Stone Rd.

BONNER CEMETERY: Located in Xenia Twp., on State Route 380 on the Edwin Wolf farm about 2 miles south of Xenia.
